The artist was struck by how naturally the old monuments of architecture and new buildings are combined, the old city with its new part, erected relatively recently.

Attending the opening of the exhibition, Natalia Pankova, an artist representing the Russian Art Foundation, noted the unusual color of the paintings created by the Italian master. In his landscapes, he preferred brown, orange and yellow colors, using their warm shades.

Although Matteo Boato has no art education, he has been painting for more than ten years. His works regularly participate in exhibitions around the world, they are acquired by museums for their collections. In Russia, the work of the Italian master met only this year. This is the first collection of works by Matteo Boato, available to Russian connoisseurs of painting.
