Two anniversary exhibitions in the exhibition complex of Nizhny Novgorod

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. Almost simultaneously, with a difference of only one day, in the Nizhny Novgorod exhibition complex, located on the square. Minin and Pozharsky, two art exhibitions open.

From October 9, visitors to the exhibition complex will be able to see the works of M. A. Kamanin. The exposition is called "Pictures of my motherland…" and is dedicated to the anniversary date - the eightieth anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod artist. The exhibition features 47 works by the artist, belonging to different periods.

Another student of the Institute. Surikov, Mikhail Alexandrovich began to paint industrial landscapes. This topic met the requirements of those years, so in his works written specifically for exhibitions, you can see the construction of ships and hydroelectric power stations.

However, traveling a lot of the country, the artist brought landscapes and sketches from each trip. In his works there are Baltic landscapes, views of Lake Baikal, Solovki and Crimea. A separate place in the work of M. Kamanin is occupied by paintings depicting the Volga, the artist’s favorite river. The exhibition also included excellent quality portraits of people close to the artist - his wife, father, daughter and granddaughter.

The next day, October 10, is scheduled to open another anniversary exhibition. The personal exhibition of Vladimir Ivanovich Zanog “Before the Heights of Heaven” is dedicated to the artist’s sixtieth birthday. The main theme of the artist’s work is the history of Orthodoxy and Russia.

More than 130 works by V.I. Zanog presented at the exhibition will acquaint visitors with thematic paintings, historical portraits and numerous landscapes. You can also see a series of sketches written by the artist while traveling around the country.

Exhibitions are open until November 10th.
