Exhibition "For the Fatherland!" the first to see the inhabitants of Nizhny Novgorod

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. The exhibition "For the Fatherland!", Representing battle art performed by artists of Russian cities, was inaugurated on April 30 at the exhibition complex of Nizhny Novgorod. This exhibition is organized as a traveling one. Nizhny Novgorod was the first of the cities where it will be presented to the public.

Nizhny Novgorod viewers will be able to get acquainted with the unique exhibition until June 28th, and then it will be transferred to other cities of the Volga region. More than a hundred works on the war, performed by painters and sculptors from various Russian cities, occupied several halls on the ground floor of the NVGK. In battle canvases, artists turned to various periods of Russian history.

Several canvases present the era of Alexander Nevsky, whose image the artists embodied both in painting and creating sculptural works. Next to the images of the great commander are paintings dedicated to the events of the Patriotic War of 1812, the Battle of Tsushima.

The organizers of the exhibition dedicated a separate part of the exposition to the Great Patriotic War. To the day of Victory Day, this exhibition was created in it. Here are portraits of the heroes of this war, their mothers and wives, paintings with episodes of battles. Six months have been spent on creating this exhibition.

Present at the opening ceremony, Sergey Potapov, currently and. about. Governor, noted that in Nizhny Novgorod there are several exhibitions dedicated to the Second World War. Each of them has its own peculiarities, however, all the exhibitions are united by a love of the motherland and the presence of the spirit of victory.

The exposition also includes the works of famous Nizhny Novgorod artists - Malinovsky, Safronova, Velichko, whose works tell about great victories and ordinary people, defenders of their native land.
