Art exhibition "Russia" in the Central House of Artists - the final of a large-scale project

MOSCOW. For the 12th time, the art exhibition "Russia" has opened in the exhibition halls of the Central House of Artists, with its exposition completing the cycle of interregional exhibitions of 2013. This exhibition was the final stage of the largest project organized by the Union of Artists of Russia.

At a press conference on the opening of the exhibition, Alexei Sukhovetsky, Secretary of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, noted that the works presented at the exhibition were not written “on order”, each of them was created by the artist as he wanted, and the purpose of their creation was only to express his attitude to the world.

The works presented at the exhibition went through several stages of selection - city expositions, regional and regional shows. Each of these stages has become an integral part of a project of enormous scale. Such exhibition projects are held by the Union of Artists every five years.

The result of this large-scale work, the participants of which were all Russian regions, was the final exhibition. The huge exhibition venue of the Central House of Artists made it possible for visitors to the exhibition to see more than two thousand works representing the whole variety of genres and techniques of fine art.

Here are the works of not only famous masters living in different parts of a huge country, but also of talented youth. All the works that made up the exhibition were written over the past five years.

The finale of a large-scale project was not only the final exhibition, which opened at the Central House of Artists. According to the results of regional exhibitions, colorful catalogs of landscape format were released, which included reproductions of the works of artists, as well as their biographies. A 9-volume edition with the work of artists from different regions of the country - “Visual Art of the Russian Federation” was born.
