LOWER NOVOROD. The play "Petty Bourgeois", staged last year by Moscow director Vadim Danziger, on September 11 launched the new, 216th theater season in the Nizhny Novgorod Drama Theater. For Vadim Danziger this season was the first in the post of chief director at the Academic Drama Theater of Nizhny Novgorod.

Moscow director Valery Sarkisov is working on a play based on the story of Dostoevsky. Valery Sarkisov has been working with the Nizhny Novgorod team for about eight years.

The premiere of a production about the village of Stepanchikovo and its inhabitants is planned for October 3rd. The production is attended by production designer Alexander Orlov, a guest from St. Petersburg, as well as costume designer Muscovite Andrei Klimov.

Valery Sarkisov will present his next work based on the work of Dostoevsky at the end of the season. It will be a play called “Svidrigailov. Voyage, based on the famous novel Crime and Punishment.

This season, viewers will see the work of the popular theater actor Alexander Suchkov. The play "Grenholm Method" from the moment of its first appearance on the scene began to enjoy incredible popularity.
