NIZHNY NOVGOROD. On June 27, an exhibition of paintings by Vladimir Pugachev, who began his career in Nizhny Novgorod, was inaugurated in the city art museum, located on the Upper Volga Embankment. The old Russian city, where Vladimir Pugachev was a student in an art studio more than twenty-five years ago, is now also dear to the artist, as in his youth.

Landscapes of the city, where the artist depicted the views of streets that have been preserved from ancient times, the Volga banks and the domes of numerous churches, are frequent participants in exhibitions held in various cities of the country. Over the years of Vladimir Pugachev’s work, the canvases made by the painter were participants in sixty-seven exhibitions held in various cities of Russia.

Paintings by Vladimir Pugachev are easily recognizable, even if they are surrounded by works of other contemporary authors. His canvases, created using the sketchy manner of painting, are filled with amazing poetry and expressiveness of the landscapes depicted on them. These qualities of the canvas are due to the artist’s skillful use of a dense, saturated color, wide strokes.

Vladimir Pugachev received his professional education at the Surikov Institute, which was completed in 2002. He studied the specialty that gives the opportunity to work in the theater - "theatrical and decorative painting. In the year after graduation, Vladimir Pugachev was admitted to the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.

The exposition of the opening exhibition included about 40 works by an artist of various subjects and genres. The canvases present the public with various facets of Vladimir Pugachev’s work. Visitors to the exhibition, open until August 25, will see portraits, landscapes, decorative and historical paintings.
