On November 15, the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of one of the outstanding artists of Tatarstan, Ildar Zaripov, took place in the Khazine Gallery. His career began in Kazan, within the walls of an art school. Already from student work it was clear that the novice artist has an original style of painting, which was not approved by all teachers.
However, having successfully graduated from college, in 1961, Zaripov received a referral to the Institute. Surikov. Then, a graduate of the Surikov Institute successfully passes the competition to the workshop of the Academy of Arts, where he continues his studies. Having completed his studies, Ildar Zaripov returns to his native Kazan.
Art historians believe that the work of Zaripov played a crucial role in the history of painting in Tatarstan. His name is associated with the emergence of a new direction - decorative, where polychrome, as well as a combination of symbolism and realism, began to be used along with ethnographic details.
The exhibition exposition is composed of the works of Ildar Zaripov, included in the collection of the Pushkin Museum of Tatarstan, where the artist’s works created by him during various periods of his work are stored. The paintings of Ildar Zaripov, united by the atmosphere of love and kindness to their heroes, are located in two halls of the gallery.
In total, visitors to the exhibition will see 22 paintings. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan made a decision that the exhibition opened for the master’s anniversary will become a permanent exhibition of the Khazine Gallery. It is also planned to open an art school named after Ildar Zaripov.
The anniversary exhibition consists of the works most beloved by fans of Ildar Zaripov. In the exposition you can see canvases dedicated to village life and national holidays, as well as female images, which are one of the artist’s favorite topics.
