An exhibition of the works of the artist Vladimir Logutov opened in the Samara Museum PERMM

SAMARA. Until the end of January, the PERMM Museum, which specializes in collecting contemporary art, will open the “Meetings” exhibition. Its exposition included 26 paintings created by Samara artist Vladimir Logutov. Now the artist is better known for his video work, however, painting was the beginning of his work. The recognition received in the art world also began with paintings.

Therefore, the opening of the exhibition, held at PERMM on January 14, Vladimir Logutov considers a return to the origins of his work. According to the artist, the meeting of the audience with his works is an important point testifying to the functioning of his works in the cultural space of the gallery or museum.

Even before the official opening of the Meetings, PERMM hosted a creative evening by Vladimir Logutov, which was attended by aspiring artists, students studying at an art school and painting academy. They heard his story about secrets, the knowledge of which helps the artist advance at the beginning of his career, about the need for self-presentation and cooperation with art institutions.

The advice of Vladimir Logutov deserves trust, because he is not only a participant in numerous exhibitions, but also a nominee for several prestigious awards in the field of art. It is worth noting that it is the works presented at the “Meetings” exhibition that are the project included in the 2016 long list of the Kandinsky Prize.

The works owned by Vladimir Logutov are popular with private collectors. His works are in Moscow, in the collection of the Stella Art Foundation, a cultural fund that supports young artists. They are stored in MMOMA and other museums. The artist lives and works in Samara and in the capital.
