A festival of Russian literature will be held in London.

LONDON. In the capital of Great Britain, preparations are under way for the start of the SLOVO Russian Literature Festival, which will take place on April 11th. Rossika Academy and the largest British bookstore chain Waterstones Piccadilly, the organizers of the festival, said SLOVO will be held in London for the sixth time.

It is worth noting that this year the festival of Russian literature coincided with the London Book Fair, which will last a whole week. Undoubtedly, the Russian delegation will also take part in the fair, which will certainly be involved in the SLOVO festival. Among the declared participants of the delegation are such famous writers as Boris Akunin, Dmitry Glukhovsky, Vladimir Sorokin and Edward Radzinsky. Russian writers will take part in the opening of the festival of Russian literature, where they will introduce guests to their new books, as well as communicate with the public and answer all questions.

The organizers of the literary forum note that the arrival of a large journalistic delegation is also expected. During the event, a domestic journalist and director Leonid Parfyonov will talk about his new film, which tells about the life of Russian photographer Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky. In turn, Sergei Parkhomenko, the founder of Itogi magazine, will tell the audience about his unique work - the project of memorial tablets “Last Address”.

Also, as part of the SLOVO Russian Literature Festival, a charity evening will be held, the funds raised from which will be donated to Russian charity funds.
