An evening of classical music was held for prisoners in one of the colony settlements of the Republic of Buryatia

ULAN-UDE. In the colony-settlement No. 3, the administration held an event, which the prisoners of the colony called "An evening of meetings with the beautiful." For several hours, classical music sounded, and during the breaks there were small lectures on the history of music, musical directions, biographies of great composers.

The prisoners were invited to show their creative abilities and express their impression of the works of composers. Some of them preferred to draw, someone to dance or write poetry.

The purpose of the event is not only to organize a cultural and educational event in the colony, to organize socially useful activities of prisoners, but also to give them the opportunity to relax after a hard week.

The Federal Penitentiary Service of Buryatia reports that the inhabitants of the colony liked this practice. They asked the leadership to regularly organize such events for them, and if there was an opportunity, invite musicians to listen to live classical music.
