The audience after watching the performance of the Ryazan Puppet Theater was delighted

In the Puppet Theater of the city of Ryazan, a general run of the new performance “Demon” took place with a show to the public. The literary basis for the unusual performance was the famous poem by Mikhail Lermontov. The artistic director of the theater called the new production experimental, but expressed hope for the long life of the performance.

The performance was staged by Moscow director Elena Olenina, and the author of the music is composer Albina Shestakova, whose music is played in most performances of the Ryazan Puppet Theater. Production designer Andrei Volodenkov also came from Moscow. Such an interesting composition of the production group turned out.

The production was prepared in an amazingly short time, but the result was impressive. Participants in the performance were both actors and dolls. However, there are only two dolls - the Cherub and Demon, the actors - three, and the performance begins with the voice of the director, who begins the story about the beautiful Tamara against the background of the dying light and nature paintings appearing on the scenery.

Spectators, along with Tamara, who appeared on the scene, are far away in the Caucasus. Georgian melodies sound, and Tamara dances her last dance - the appearance of the in love Demon watching her changes the world. The light changes and a bright day turns into a world of shadows.

Two white wings on the sides of the scenery become either the protector of the heroine, or as if by the Demon himself. The demon is everywhere - it appears in the form of an actor, then in the form of a doll, and the atmosphere that reigns on the stage also carries something supernatural, frightening. At the end of the performance, after the death of Tamara, the voice behind the scene again sounds, the views of nature on the scenery return.

The audience applauded while standing, it seemed to everyone that the actors who were close by during the performance played for him.
