Theater of Nations presents the best performances of provincial cities of Russia

MOSCOW. On the stage of the Theater of Nations for two days, on April 2 and 3, the laureates of the tenth theater festival showed their works, in which stage workers from small towns of Russia participated. The festival was held in June 2012 in the Perm region. Its participants were hosted by the city of Lysva, which in recent years has become one of the centers of theatrical life in the province.

On April 2, in the Great Hall of the theater, they showed a theater performance from the city of Lysva, who won in one of the main nominations of the festival - "The performance of a large form." They brought to the capital the play "Players" staged by Ilya Rotenberg based on one of Gogol’s most remarkable comedies.

Actors masterly played a virtually detective story of the play, the main characters of which are professional card scammers. The performance was sharp and modern, and the dynamic action attracted the attention of the audience to the stage.

On April 3, spectators will come to the chamber hall of the Theater of Nations. At this stage, the production of the Our Home Theater from Khimki will be shown. The name of the performance is “Doctor. First Year ”, a re-enactment of Bulgakov’s work“ Notes of a Young Doctor ”.

It was put by Sergei Metelkin, who plays the role of the main character in the play. Each of the actors involved in the play represents several of his characters on stage. This theater has become a laureate in the nomination of the festival "Small form performance"

The initiator of this festival is the Theater of Nations. It was first held in 1994, in Moscow. It so happened that after the first meeting of the theaters, a six-year-long break followed, but then they began to hold it regularly. After the reconstruction of the theater in the city of Lysva, the festival moved from the capital to the Perm region. The best performances of the festival program are presented in the capital.
