Theater "At the Nikitsky Gate" visited Perm with a three-day tour

PERMIAN. The production of "Songs of Our Communal" was completed with a nostalgic motive by a three-day tour at the Nikitsky Gate Theater, which arrived as part of the project "The Best Theaters of Russia - to the City of Perm". This project allows Perm theatergoers to get acquainted with the repertoire of famous Russian theaters without leaving their hometown.

The last time the Nikitsky Gate Theater was in Perm in 1989, so the visit of almost the entire troupe of the theater, as well as its leader, the famous playwright and director Mark Rozovsky, became a real gift for the city on its bicentennial.

The repertoire of the Mark Rozovsky Theater is famous for the variety of genres of performances. On its stage you can see musicals and dramas, poetic performances and comedies. For a long time, theater fans did not always fall in love with the performances, as the hall accommodated a small number of spectators. Only last year, the theater finally celebrated a housewarming party, having at its disposal a modern stage and a spacious hall with 198 seats.

For Perm viewers, Mark Rozovsky brought three performances that were completely different from each other. The first production seen by the audience was The Story of a Horse, which won the Grand Prix at the musical festival last year in South Korea. Vladimir Yumatov, who plays the main role in the play, was awarded the Best Actor Award. The basis for this performance was the story of Leo Tolstoy’s “Canvas meter”.

The next evening, the audience was shown an incendiary comedy with Georgian roots. "I, grandmother, Iliko and Illarion", received by the audience with enthusiasm. And in conclusion, songs sounded popular in the 50-70s. The performance "Songs of our communal apartment" has been on the theater stage for about eighteen years, but it is still difficult to get on it.
