MOSCOW. In the theater to them. Mayakovsky on Saturday, September 14, the premiere of the musical performance "Mother Cat", which their parents watched with equal pleasure, was held. The play is based on a novel written by the Chilean writer Luis Sepulveda.

The performance was staged on the main stage by director Polina Struzhkova, who has long been working on productions for young viewers. Well-known and loved by the audience are such performances as “Little Red Riding Hood”, staged in the form of a thriller, as well as a drama for teenagers “Cinderella”.

“Mother Cat”, as read by Polina Struzhkova, is a production that does not look much like a fairy tale, although the story told in this performance is unusual. There lived a black cat Zorbas in the port - lazy and irresponsible. He did not have any particular worries, but it so happened that he gave the word to the dying seagull to take care of her future cub.

And here the cat began, and at the same time with his friends, a completely different life. Zorbas had to incubate the egg, feed the chick, raise it. The carefree cat had never suspected that he had the ability to do so. Zorbas and his friends even had to teach the chick to fly, although the cats themselves were never flying animals.

There are many funny and touching moments in this production. The performance is accompanied by music performed by a real orchestra. The author of the music for the play is composer Maxim Leonidov, who suggested the idea of staging this amazing story, which has become equally interesting for children and parents.

All roles in the play "Mother Cat" are performed by young actors of the troupe. They sing and dance great, although Polina Struzhkova says that the work on the production was not easy for them. However, according to the reaction of the audience at the premiere, it was clear that the actors coped with the roles perfectly.
