Theater Festival Rybakova was opened by artists of the Maly Theater

TAMBOV. The performance, directed by Alexander Korshunov based on the play “Hard Days” by A. Ostrovsky, opened the festival for the eighth time. Rybakova, collecting in his program the provincial theaters of the country. The opening performance of the festival performed by artists of the Maly Theater does not participate in the competition program - the capital’s theater has become an honored guest of the theater forum.

At the same time, the actors of the Maly Theater did not limit themselves to presenting the play from their repertoire - the day before the opening of the festival, spectators could attend a meeting with the leading actors of the collective and director A. Korshunov. The meeting took place on the stage of the Tambov Puppet Theater.

For the participation in the popular theater forum, groups of six Russian theaters came to Tambov, representing Samara and Penza, Smolensk and Vologda, Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk. Tambov artists have a whole festival day. They will show their two works, however, one performance “Threshold” will take part in the competition, participation in which will compete for the main prize Mikhail Berezin, Honored Artist of the RSFSR. The second performance, "Five Evenings", will be a gift to the guests of the festival from its owners; he does not take part in the competition.

The first performance, judged by the jury and the audience, will be the work of artists from Penza. They brought to Tambov an unusual reading of the classic work written by Saltykov-Shchedrin. Galina Repnaya, the beloved actress of many Penza spectators, takes part in the play “Lord Golovlyova”. Through her work, she will participate in the struggle for the honorary title - “Actress of Russia”.

The festival also includes a youth program. In its framework, college students. Shchepkina on the closing day of the festival will show the performance "Dostoevsky VS 2013", which used the "Brothers Karamazov."
