Actors of the Maly Theater pleased residents of Petrozavodsk with two performances

PETROZAVODSK. Since June 25, the Maly Theater has been performing on the stage of the Karelian Musical Theater. Actors from the capital have already managed to present one of their most popular performances to the Petrozavodsk theater-goers - “It’s pretty simple for every sage,” where the beloved Irina Muravyova and Boris Klyuyev, Alexandra Potapova and Liliya Yudina shone on the stage. The role of the main character of the comedy written by A. N. Ostrovsky, Yegor Glumov, was played by the no less beloved actor Alexander Vershinin.

This is not the first time that Maly Theater has come to Petrozavodsk. Last year, viewers were able to watch two plays from the classical repertoire with the participation of Yuri Solomin, Vasily Bochkarev and other no less famous and popular metropolitan artists. This year, the actors of the Maly Theater took not only Russian classics on a tour.

The next two evenings, on June 27 and 28, viewers will be able to see the French comedy “Secrets of the Madrid Court”. This performance has been in the theater’s repertoire for about fifteen years, however, to this day there are no empty seats in the hall. The performance captivates the audience not only with the adventures that befell its main characters. The main thing is that according to the plot, all the heroes are in love and each has his own secret.

The actors brought all the scenery for the performances from the capital with two camper trucks. The actors themselves traveled to Petrozavodsk in comfort - they specially hitched two wagons to the train, as there were no more train tickets for the days necessary for departure.

Shortly before the start of the first tour, on June 25, a meeting of actors of the Maly Theater with Petrozavodsk journalists took place. The artists told why they brought the play based on Ostrovsky’s play, discussed the state of culture in the country, rejoiced in the excellent weather that Karelia met them.
