In the new season at the theater Et Cetera will present the premiere of "Boris Godunov"

MOSCOW. In the capital’s theater Et Cetera, on the evening of August 26, a new theater season opened. Viewers saw one of the premieres of last season - "The Comedy of Errors", which was staged by People’s Artist Robert Sturua, the theater’s chief director.

In the morning, the theater traditionally held a gathering of theater artists, which was also attended by media representatives. Alexander Kalyagin, artistic director Et Cetera, told reporters about the main plans for the upcoming season. According to Kalyagin, there is a lot of work in the season that has begun. Spectators will see several premiere performances, and theater artists are waiting for tours and rehearsals of new performances.

Work on some projects has already begun. The biggest production of the season will be Boris Godunov, in which all artists of the troupe will be engaged. Beginning of rehearsals is scheduled for October 4th. Peter Stein, a famous director from Germany, will work on the production. Godunov’s premiere is scheduled for mid-January 2015.

The role of Godunov was originally intended for Alexander Kalyagin, but he refused to work on it, citing enormous employment. Now rehearsing this role will be People’s Artist Vladimir Simonov. Peter Stein agreed with the proposal of Alexander Kalyagin.

The first premiere of this season is already indicated in the theatrical poster. The play, staged by the play of Alexander Ostrovsky, directed by Grigory Dityakovsky, invited from St. Petersburg, is called "Heart is not a stone." It will be presented to the audience on September 30th.

Rehearsals of the play “All About Women” begin, and the production of “Hope, Faith and Love…” will be restored by Victory Day. She was removed from the repertoire in June, in connection with the death of actor Nikita Bychenkov, one of the main performers.
