Tours of the Et Cetera Metropolitan Theater begin in Kirov

KIROV. Kirov theater-goers are looking forward to the start of the tour of the capital’s Et Cetera Theater. The first tour will be Shakespeare’s The Tempest in the directorial version of Robert Sturua, the famous Georgian director. The performance was shown at a theater festival in Israel, and in Argentina, "Storm" opened the year of Russian culture.

Now, Kirov’s spectators, who decided to visit the city drama theater on May 19, will be able to see the performance staged in the capital’s theater by a famous director. In total, during the tour the theater-goers will see six performances, most of them are the works of the theater based on the works of classics.

Even before the start of the tour, on May 17, an important event for the theater world of the region took place in the Kirov drama, at which Alexander Kalyagin was present. The head of Et Cetera arrived in Kirov not only in connection with the tour of the theater, but also as an official - the director heads the STD of the Russian Federation. On this day, a traditional agreement on cooperation of STD of the Kirov region and the regional government was signed.

In his speech, Alexander Kalyagin noted that much in the solution of theatrical problems depends on the people who lead the culture. Among them are not only the heads of theaters, but also the ministry of culture and the governor. Culture problems should be on the same level as education, medicine, and the social sphere. Sometimes authorities consider the theater entertainment, a service to the public. However, the theater can not be attributed to the service sector, it is a spiritual food for people.

Kirov is a special city for Alexander Alexandrovich - he was born in this region, his father was buried in the city of Malmyzh, and in 2014 the director became an honorary citizen of the Kirov region. In the city of Vyatskiye Polyany there is a theater school for children, bearing the name A, Kalyagin.
