The play "Five Evenings" performed by artists from the city of Seversk opened the Volodinsky Festival

ST. PETERSBURG. By tradition, in the hometown of playwright A.M. Volodin, on February 6, a theater festival was opened in the Alexandrinsky Theater that bears his name. For the eleventh time, on the eve of the playwright’s birthday, theater groups come to St. Petersburg to show their new productions. Among them are not only Volodin’s plays embodied on the stage, but also works by other authors, filled with humanity and lyricism.

Naturally, the Five Evenings festival could not leave the festival program without the famous play by A. Volodin. The play "Five Evenings" staged by the theater from the Tomsk region, the city of Seversk, began the festival program. Fans of the theater come to this performance from all over the region, although a special permit is required for such a trip - Seversk is a closed city.

Now the theater-goers of St. Petersburg were able to see the artists, whom the audience of the Tomsk region enthusiastically talk about, although there is a considerable number of famous theaters. Director Sergei Andreev put it on quite traditionally, but the talented acting team does not allow the audience to break away from what is happening on the stage. After the performance, the grand opening of the festival took place, and then a gift was given to the audience - the Rainbow children’s musical theater appeared on the stage.

The next day, the artists of the Theater. Komissarzhevskaya on their stage will show the audience the play "Grafoman" staged by Alexander Bargman based on the play by Volodin. All five festival evenings will be filled with performances of theaters from Novosibirsk, Voronezh and Almetyevsk, and in the afternoon you can hear the reading of new plays. Actors of the Comedy Theater are participating in the First Reading project. The festival closes with a concert by Svetlana Ben.
