The theater on Malaya Bronnaya opened the season with the premiere of the play “Vassa”, read by the young director Vyacheslav Tyshchuk

MOSCOW. The first meeting of artists in the new season took place at the Malaya Bronnaya Theater on August 7, and the next day the troupe met the first spectators. The jubilee, seventieth season began with the premiere - the play "Vassa" was the first solid work of the director Vyacheslav Tyshchuk on the capital’s stage.

However, Tyschuk has sufficient directorial experience - his performances are in major Russian cities, he was a nominee for the Golden Mask. The content of the premiere production, staged by Vyacheslav Tyshchuk based on the famous play by M. Gorky, is familiar to most viewers by the school curriculum.

The director’s reading of the play is far from the traditional approach. A significantly modernized play tells of brutal totalitarianism, giving rise to a wild, barbaric protest. Vyacheslav Tyshchuk, with his work, argues that Gorky described both family tragedy and the problems of the state system as a whole. The original scenery for Vassa was created by the artist E. Galaktionova.

The next premiere of the season will be presented to viewers in mid-October. The repertoire will include the plastic performance “Pit”. The famous choreographer and director Yegor Druzhinin is working on the production of the novel by Kuprin. In this performance, viewers will see representatives of all generations of the troupe - from well-known names to young graduates of GITIS.

In December, the theater will have another stage - the Small Stage. It will open with the play “Conversations after the Burial”. Director of the performance Mikhail Stankevich is working on the production. Several premieres will be presented to the public during the season, two of them will be delivered by Sergei Golomazov, the theater’s artistic director.

In late August, the theater is waiting for spectators of Orenburg and Orsk, where artists will bring their most popular performances as part of the "Big Tour".
