TVER. Within a week, starting on September 22, Tver residents got acquainted with the work of the theater team from Kursk. These days, the artists of the Tver Drama Theater went on tour in Kursk, and their stage was left to the Kursk drama to them. Pushkin, who came to Tver with a tour program.

This pilot exchange project taking place in the Cities of Military Glory (including Kursk and Tver) is held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory. For each team, tours to these cities take place for the first time. The Kursk Theater brought to Tver a program consisting of the best performances included in the collective repertoire.

The theaters, who attended the performances of the Kursk drama, celebrate the magnificent play of the actors of the theater and say that they find a lot in common in this team with the Tver theater. First of all - respect for the classics, and guests give preference to classical drama.

On this occasion, Yuri Bure, artistic director of the Kursk drama, said at a press conference at the beginning of the tour that updating the classics, which some directors often do now, is tantamount to rewriting history. Kursk drama refers to theaters that preserve the classic interpretation of plays that do not allow any deviations from the storyline created by the playwright.

Yuri Bure emphasized that he himself is a supporter of the classics in its original form. The works of playwrights should be staged so that the authors are recognizable. There is no need for special effects, even very spectacular. The main thing in each performance is to be the artist, his sincere play on stage. Play should be so that the performance evokes a desire to read the work. In his opinion, there is no decent drama today, so he prefers the classics.
