Artists of the Petersburg Operetta Theater showed two musicals in Pskov

PSKOV. A musical gift to the Pskov audience was made by the Petersburg Operetta Musical Theater. In the BKZ of the Regional Philharmonic, St. Petersburg artists presented two musical performances on January 7th. In the afternoon, small theater-goers were invited to the philharmonic hall, presenting them with a children’s musical - a wonderful fairy tale “The Snow Queen”.

This ancient fairy tale, born several centuries ago, becomes a favorite among every child who has read it at least once. The playwright Eugene Schwartz once turned to an ageless fairy tale, writing the play “The Snow Queen”, where beloved fairy-tale heroes came to life.

The directors often turn to her to tell again a touching story about the amazingly brave girl Gerda, who dared to fight the Snow Queen, who had abducted her best friend. The adventures of your favorite heroes were complemented by enchanting music by Georgy Portnov, the famous St. Petersburg composer.

Thanks to the artists of the Petersburg Operetta, young spectators got the opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of eternal history, where love and good become victors of evil. Although the audience sitting in the hall knew that Gerda’s adventures would end happily, the excellent play of the St. Petersburg artists made him empathize with the characters of the musical.

In the evening, the artists of the Petersburg Operetta showed another musical, Ordinary Miracle. The plot of the play, also written by Eugene Schwartz, does not require retelling. She is well known for the famous movie. However, in the creation of the musical, included in the repertoire of the Petersburg Operetta, took part in Julius Kim, who wrote poetry and libretto for him. The live voices of the performers, dance numbers, organically included in the performance, were appreciated by the applause that constantly appeared in the hall during the performance.
