The Ryazan Puppet Theater successfully hosted the premiere of "Cinderella", created using modern technology

KNITTING. For those schoolchildren who already managed to attend the premiere of the fairy tale “Cinderella”, which took place at the regional puppet theater on the first fall day, September 1 was not the usual beginning of the school year, but also the day of acquaintance with the fairy tale directed by Valery Shadsky.

The director created a play based on a play written by Eugene Schwartz. Adult viewers who came to the theater with their children are well acquainted with the film of the same name, which appeared on the screens in 1947. They laugh happily when they hear the witty dialogues of movie heroes that they remember in childhood.

For young viewers, this magnificent performance was a fascinating journey into the world of an old fairy tale, originally retold by Schwartz. The creators of the play embodied on the stage all the miracles that were described in the play. In front of the audience, a magnificent castle decorated with a high tower appears on the stage, and Cinderella turns into a beautiful princess.

This performance aroused the interest of journalists long before the premiere, because an unusual production was being prepared, combining a traditional puppet theater with modern computer animation. In his performances, Valery Shadskoy actively uses the technical capabilities of the puppet theater scene, allowing him to realize the most risky directorial fantasies.

This time the result of the work of the director and the acting team exceeded the wildest expectations. Animation has ceased to be a spectacular decoration. Puppet characters turn into their computer counterparts so quickly that sometimes viewers don’t realize that they have real dolls in front of them, or their image on the screen.

From the long applause that sounded at the end of the play, it was clear that there would be many people who wanted to see the miracles happening in Cinderella again.
