In the storage of the State Film Fund found works of Oscar Fisher

The First World War, which clashed many countries in a bloody cauldron and destroyed four empires, turned out to be a kind of catalyst for revolutionary changes in literature, painting, and cinema. German filmmakers - Viking Eggeling, Hans Richter, Walter Ruttmann, Oskar Fischinger - were one of the first to use innovative techniques, in 1919, the cannons on the battlefield barely silenced. The main focus of the work was drawn abstract films, a synthesis of fine and musical rhythm. By the end of the 30s, experiments began in the field of documentary, including reporting filming.

By visualizing the music of Strauss, Mozart, Brahms, the works of Paul Duke in his pointless compositions, Fiscinger achieved a striking effect, turning the movement of geometric figures into a witty choreographic show. Significant experience in the search for adequate visual means to revive images of literary works, undertaken earlier, made it possible to become one of the most interesting film avant-garde artists in Germany. The appearance of sound led to interesting discoveries in the field of light music and the creation of unique works. Moving to the USA provided new technical opportunities, as a result of which his films gained color.

Equally interesting for art critics and moviegoers are his commercials, the mute "Flowing Lines", the ballet-geometric "Rhapsody in the Blues Style" and "Moving Painting-l", which uses music from the Bach Brandenburg Concerto. The sounded colored “Squares” discovered at the State Film Fund (previously it was assumed that only a dumb version was preserved), and the advertising hand-drawn video clip with marching cigarettes turned out to be a sensational find. The huge, not fully explored repository of domestic and foreign film treasures is still fraught with many mysteries, promising incredible discoveries.
