In the St. Petersburg Youth Theater. Bryantsev for the 17th time opened the international festival of children’s theater groups

ST. PETERSBURG. TUZ them. For the 17th time, Bryantsev gathered children’s theater groups at the International Bryantsev Festival. This time, the theater forum of children’s theaters is dedicated to the anniversary of Zinovy Korogodsky, almost a quarter century, starting in 1962, who headed the Youth Theater. This year, the People’s Artist of Russia would celebrate the 90th anniversary.

There were always a large number of people wishing to participate in the festival, so the jury of the festival selects the most worthy works of young artists. This year, the jury sent 150 applications from children’s groups. The program participants were 24 performances staged in school theaters and youth studios.

Teams from both large cities and those working in the regions came to St. Petersburg. Foreign participants of the festival will also show their creativity - young artists represent Georgia, Estonia, Belarus and even Finland. The main criterion for the selection of performances worthy of participating in the festival program was the original approach to presenting the theme of the production, as well as the individuality of each of the performers.

Chairman of the jury of the festival, n. but. Russia, Nikolai Ivanov, noted the radically changed quality of productions claiming to participate in the Bryantsev Festival. If in the first years of its existence, part of the work resembled holiday children’s parties, now you can see the quite professional work of young artists.

They show both stage miniatures and full-fledged performances. Each of the works participating in the festival is no longer amateur, it is a real theatrical work. During the first festival day, the jury managed to see 7 wonderful theatrical works, ending the day with a discussion of them. Until March 18, when the winners will be announced, everyone will find many more interesting things.
