This time, viewers saw the debut directorial work of Ivan Minevtsev. The young director graduates from GITIS, where he studies the profession in the workshop of Kamenkovich and Krymov.

For the production of the play, which premiered successfully on April 24, Ivan Minevtsev chose the play Homecoming, written by renowned playwright Harold Pinter, a Nobel laureate from England. For the Russian public, the play was translated by Viktor Denisov.

The appearance of this play on the stage of the Aldwych Theater in June 1965 made a strange impression on the public. The events of the play are developing sequentially, it seems that they are understandable. However, part of the public was shocked by what was happening on the stage.
