Lecture-tour about the history of Irkutsk parks "Lost Paradise"

December 10 at 15.00 - lecture-excursion on the history of Irkutsk parks "Lost Paradise". We plunge into the atmosphere of the provincial city of the XIX century and learn about the history of parks. The history of our city is not only people, events, architectural monuments, but also the nature surrounding us. In the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, provincial gardens and parks experienced their heyday, and for the most part only photographs, paintings, and memoirs reached us. You will hear six stories that different lecturers in stylized costumes of that time will tell, a gramophone will sound, and at the end you can take a walk through the winter manor park. A lecture on the history of Irkutsk parks will be interesting both to professional guides and to Irkutsk citizens - amateurs and connoisseurs of the history of our hometown. Participation is by entrance fees to the museum.
