Rocker parents will unite to organize the largest family holiday in Moscow

May 29, 2016 in the Krasnaya Presnya park young rockers, winners of the New Wave children’s contest, and the legendary groups of Soviet rock, disco and punk rock will play on the same stage: Pep-See, Time Out, Black Coffee, Beat Devils, Distemper, The Adventures of Electronics, GK Group (Gosha Kutsenko) and others. Rockers are sure that it is this style of music that unites families and generations today, and only rock has remained one of the subcultures where family values have been preserved. The youngest of the performers is 6 years old.

The Children’s Rock Festival was conceived three years ago by a group of active parents who wanted to go to concerts with their children. In 2015, the organizers received tremendous support on the Boomstarter crowdfunding platform. Fans of the holiday then transferred more than a million rubles so that the entrance to the festival always remained free. In 2016, parents, passionate about rock, decided to prepare all the venues and entertainment themselves. The festival team and rockers of Moscow organized about 40 entertaining and educational activities for children in the space of the Krasnaya Presnya Park, which makes the festival a unique family event. Over two years, the festival was visited by more than 80 thousand people. This year, the organizers hope to repeat the success of last year.

“Our musicians are often the parents themselves, and they quickly picked up the idea of the festival. For example, the musicians of the ska-punk band Distemper together with their children were guests at the last rock festival, and this year they rock from the stage. And for the one-year-old daughter of the soloist, this will be the first real live concert she will attend! This time we gathered KidsRockBand from talented children, and they, along with adult stars, will perform world rock hits from the stage. At the heart of this team are young artists from the show group Academics and students of the Academy of Popular Music Igor Krutoy. The main dad and host of our festival, Andrei Kurnosov, an actor in theater and cinema, will tell about the history of rock music during the festival, ”commented the project’s program this year, the author and producer of the project, Evgenia Lazareva.

All interactive venues of the festival are stylized as rock workshops. Including, a number of activities will be conducted by resident musicians of the festival. The site will operate 30 zones. Art of Rock will host a rock vernissage, show a rock village, hold rock readings, a rock relay race and present a rock theater. On Rock Island you can try everything yourself: play the guitar and drums, make graffiti, work on the radio, go back to rock Moscow of the future. In the Rock Food zone, guests can find a rich selection of healthy and tasty dishes for any age.
