Exhibition of Anatoly Zaslavsky "Face and Body"

St. Petersburg - From May 17 to June 10 in the Abramova Gallery in the Artplay Design Center on Krasnogvardeiskaya Square will be held a personal exhibition of Anatoly Zaslavsky “Face and Body”. Viewers will be presented more than 40 works of the artist. The exhibition opens a series of events dedicated to the anniversary of the master, who turns 80 this year.

The idea of the exhibition - an artistic understanding of the plastic possibilities of the human face and body ¬ – was born out of a desire to correlate images of models posing for the artist and portraits of famous people of our time: actors, poets, philosophers, painters. The nature of the information that can be obtained by reading the body text, and the information that can be obtained by looking into the face, is so different that it will cause the viewer to develop the plasticity of his consciousness.

“Of course, if the viewer, too lazy to mentally work, wants to fit all the elements of the composition into the usual literary channel, he can explain the proximity of women and artists as creators surrounded by their muses or their beloved women. But this is not so. Firstly, there are women among poets, and secondly, without going down the wrong path, the viewer will find in himself the ability to see a pure statement of the body and the same unique statement of each person. And she won’t regret it, ”said Anatoly Zaslavsky.

Anatoly Zaslavsky was born in 1939 in Kiev. He studied at the Kiev State Art Institute. T.G. Shevchenko, graduated from the department of monumental painting LVHPU them. V.I. Mukhina. Member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation and the Creative Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. Member of more than 50 solo and collective exhibitions.
