Exhibitions in Ulyanovsk dedicated to the future anniversary of A.A. Plastov

For Ulyanovsk, September turned out to be a month rich in events important for the cultural life of Russia. In the halls of the Lenin Memorial, an exhibition of artists who became nominees for the A. Plastov Prize, “Plastovskaya Autumn”, began work. This exhibition summed up the assembly of artists from around the world, the opening of which took place in the village of Prislonikha, Ulyanovsk Region, in the homeland of Arkady Plastov.

For the exhibition, over a hundred painters presented their works, among which are names known to art lovers. At the exhibition, you can see paintings authored by Zurab Tsereteli, whose solo exhibition works in one of the neighboring halls of the memorial complex, by well-known Russian artists Alexei and Sergey Tkachev, Tair Salakhov. The artists of Ulyanovsk were represented by Viktor Sofronov, Veliky Novgorod - Dmitry Zhuravlev.

A separate section of the exhibition was the work created by artists who visited the open air in the village of Prislonikha, as well as the works of young painters who worked at the All-Russian open air-2012. The exposition of this exhibition will be the opening of the program dedicated to the anniversary next year - Arkady Plastov will turn 120 years old.

As part of the Plastovskaya Autumn Assembly, another exhibition has opened, the exposition of which has unfolded in the A.A. Museum Plastova. This is an exposition of the works of two famous artists who worked at the same time - the representative of the Armenian people, the greatest master Martiros Saryan and the famous Russian artist Arkady Plastov. Masters walked alongside life - they graduated from the Moscow Art College almost at the same time and passed away in one year. The location of the paintings at the exhibition emphasizes the parallels in their work. You can visit the exhibition until October 7th.
