Arkady Plastov taught the Muscovites Lesson in Botany

Since October 30, a real stir began in the Must art gallery, as the exhibition "Botany Lesson" by one of the best artists of the twentieth century, Arkady Plastov, opened. His work is familiar to almost every adult born and educated in the USSR.

Arkady Plastov is a real esthete and a man who subtly feels and intuitively understands the law of nature, its infinite beauty. Therefore, most of his works seem to teach a lesson in a wise attitude to reality, attention to nature.

The name of the exhibition is taken from the work of the same name, completed by the artist in 1939. The picture depicts a young teacher under a bright red umbrella, surrounded by babble children. And around - a beautiful summer child, the edge of the forest, flowers… After all, the most important lesson that life can teach us is the lesson of Beauty.

The artist admired flowers all his life and captured them in almost every work. Decorative ornaments, naturalistic images, floral still lifes. Knowing the name of all the flowers, collecting them in all the meadows, fields and forests of the motherland, Plastov sought to convey their holistic image. Demonstrate the tenderness, radiance, purity of each plant, whether it be bells, sleep-grass, medunica or garden beauties-roses!

Muscovites will be able to freshen up their eyes with the splendor of delicate but juicy colors until November 26, 2012. When it is drizzling on the street, there are more problems and worries and a burden of thoughts - visiting Arkady Plastov’s exhibition will be the best cure for longing. After all, wildflowers sprout even through asphalt, striving for the sun!
