The project "Great rivers of Siberian art" continues in Irkutsk

IRKUTSK. "Great rivers of Siberian art" arrived in Irkutsk. The exhibition "Angara-Yenisei" opened in the city. On November 2, at three exhibition venues of the city you can see the expositions, which host the works of art masters of Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk. The use of several exhibition spaces made it possible to arrange a truly large-scale exhibition.

All created expositions posted a total of 300 works of various genres. Of these, 100 works arrived at the exhibition from Krasnoyarsk, and 200 artworks belong to Irkutsk artists and sculptors. Among the works participating in the exhibition, the genre of decorative and applied art is also represented. The idea and organization of this large-scale project belongs to the regional branches of the Union of Artists of Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk.

The name of the project itself speaks of the idea underlying it. The large cities of Siberia are mostly located near large rivers. The work of Siberian artists is a huge part of Russian art, a full-flowing river flowing into the ocean of world culture. Each of the exhibitions opening as part of the project includes the names of rivers flowing in the regions in their names.

The first of the exhibitions of this project was held in Krasnoyarsk, received the name "Yenisei-Irtysh." Now a joint exhibition of masters of Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk is presented to Irkutsk residents. To view all the exhibits, you will first have to visit the art museum located on ul.
