In St. Petersburg launched the "Second such festival"

In St. Petersburg yesterday, on November 14, a large-scale action started - the theater marathon "The Second Such Festival". The project was created by the theater team "Such a Theater" and its leader Alexander Bargman. The international festival under this name is already the second in a row (the first project was successfully held in December last year), with its help the theater will present the creativity of its team members working not only in St. Petersburg, but also in theaters in other cities.

This year, the drama theater from Tyumen will be the guest of honor of the festival. He will show the Petersburg audience two performances - “Moliere” and “God of Massacre”, staged by Alexander Bargman, as well as “The Nutcracker”, the work of Galina Zhdanova. Three more ensembles became participants - the Shelter of the Comedian, the Dostoevsky Museum and the Youth Theater on the Fontanka. In addition to showing their new works at the festival, its organizers decided to draw the attention of the city leadership and the public to the desperate situation of their team.

"Such a theater", created in 2001, with its performances took part in a large number of prestigious theater festivals, in the season of 2009 was awarded the Golden Sophyt Theater Award, and in 2011 - the Breakthrough Prize, participated in many theater festivals outside the country.

However, to this day, the theater does not have its own stage, it does not have state funding. All the performances of “Such a Theater” were put on the grants he won from the city Committee for Culture.

The first performance of the festival was shown on the stage of the Youth Theater on the Fontanka, “Runaway Airplane”, the premiere of the theater “Such a Theater”, which became the directorial debut of the actress of this team Irina Polyanskaya. The project will end on December 3rd.
