In Nizhny Novgorod presented the first performance of the festival program "Premieres of the season"

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. Theatrical groups of the region once again present their new performances at the annual festival "Premieres of the Season". This time, the festival poster included premieres presented to the audience in the 2015-2016 season. Only professional theaters of Nizhny Novgorod participate in the festival program.

In addition to municipal and state theaters, students from the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory and the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School will present their works. Collective of theaters of the Nizhny Novgorod region, working in the cities of Arzamas, Sarov, Kstovo, also take part in the festival. Dzerzhinsk is represented immediately by two groups - a puppet theater and a drama theater.

The jury consisting of high-level professionals will discuss and evaluate the work of the participants of the “Premieres of the Season” festival. Among them came from the capital, the representative of the magazine "Theater" Irina Allatova, Ph.D., as well as theater critic Oksana Kushlyaeva.

The first performance of the festival program was the performance of the theater Theater "Comedy", presented to the audience in late February. On the evening of March 10, spectators and the jury saw Vadim Danziger’s new directorial work, “The House that Swift Built”. Vadim Danziger not only staged an amazing performance highly praised by the audience, but also created a musical arrangement for it.

The author of the play, playwright Grigory Gorin, wrote it in 1980. It was a time when the thaw was already over, and before the start of perestroika, about 16 years remained. Vadim Danziger in his performance shows how much courage a person needs in “troubled times” in order to live according to his own conscience.

Festival performances will be shown on March 18, and in the afternoon on March 19, the final conference will be held in the hall of the House of Actor.
