In St. Petersburg, the first performance of the tour of the Sverdlovsk drama

ST. PETERSBURG. With a big tour came to St. Petersburg Sverdlovsk Drama Theater. For the famous Ural collective, two theaters provided their scenes at once - some of the performances will be shown in the comedy theater named after Akimova, for the rest the stage will be the theater "Through the Looking Glass".

The Sverdlovsk drama repeatedly presented its work to St. Petersburg audiences, but the last tour in the northern capital took place almost 12 years ago. Twice Yekaterinburg actors were hosted by the BDT theater, on the stage of which the Sverdlovsk drama collective showed their best performances.

Each visit of the theater from Yekaterinburg became an event for the spectators of the city who warmly received the Ural guests. The current tour will provide an opportunity for theater-goers of St. Petersburg after a long break to again get acquainted with the best performances of the Sverdlovsk drama.

These productions are able to give the audience exactly what each of them expects from visiting the theater - emotions, feelings, a reason for reflection. The artists of the Sverdlovsk drama brought ten performances representing various genres of stage art.

Four of them were included in the project, which makes it possible to get acquainted with the "Stars of the Ural Dramaturgy." This project will allow not only to see the best plays written by modern Ural playwrights, but also to communicate with them after the performances. City theater-goers will meet with Yaroslav Pulinovich, whose plays adorn the repertoire of many theaters in the country, Vasily, Sigarev, Oleg Bogaev and Alexander Arkhipov.

The first performance seen by Petersburg audiences was Ostrovsky’s play “Profitable Place” in the original stage reading of the famous director Vladimir Mirzoyev.
