SEVASTOPOL. Fans of the theater. B. Lavrenyova, finally were able to see the long-awaited premiere of the play "Pygmalion." Having become the first premiere of the theater in the new season, he was preparing for the show for about a year. There were many reasons for such a long way of staging to the public, mainly they related to the financial situation of the theater.

Despite all the difficulties, on November 29, the theater artists presented the audience with a great comedy written about a hundred years ago by the English playwright B. Shaw. This play has always aroused the interest of viewers since its inception. Despite its venerable age, it is relevant today

Although its plot is well-known to most of the audience embodied on the stage, each time it makes the audience in the hall admire the story of a street flower seller who, by the will of fate, became the subject of a bet between two London intellectuals. They were wondering if it would be possible to turn a tongue-tied flower girl brought up on the street into a real lady.

It turned out that if this process is accompanied by sincere friendship, multiplied by tenderness and love, then its result is the birth of a real “socialite” Lady Doolittle. Now both gentleman educators are fighting for the right to offer her a hand and a heart. The performance is filled with real English humor, accompanied by a lot of music and modern ballet.

The play was staged by Yuri Makovsky, who recently became the main director of the theater again. In the near future he has many plans. Now the theater is waiting for a change in its status - the theater will be withdrawn from the military unit and will become a federal subject, having the opportunity to dispose of the funds earned independently. The team is waiting for the completion of legal formalities.
