Artists of the theater. Vakhtangov celebrated the closing of the season with a concert program

MOSCOW. The first concert on the Arbat in honor of the closing season of the Vakhtangov Theater took place seven years ago. The idea of the young generation of Vakhtangians has already become a tradition. Last Sunday, July 3, theater fans gathered again near an impromptu stage to meet with their favorite artists.

This time, the concert was hosted by Alexander Oleshko, who represented participants in the festive program, among whom were both famous actors and graduates of the famous Pike, who were just starting their journey in art. The concert in front of the theater began at 8 pm. At this time, the lucky ones who managed to purchase tickets for the final performance of the season were already in the hall of the Vakhtangov Theater.

The last performance of the jubilee 95th season was the magnificent Eugene Onegin staged by Rimas Tuminas. After the final applause in the theater hall, the participants of the play, under deafening ovations, appeared on the stage where the participants of the concert program performed.

At the same time, Arbat was lit with lanterns, adding to the audience and entertainers a festive mood. Enthusiastic applause was accompanied by the dance of the main characters of Onegin, performed by Eugene Kregzhde and Sergey Makovetsky. The meeting of the actors with the audience, after the performance that has just ended, when they are still in makeup and costumes saying goodbye to the public until the next season, is always filled with joyful expectation - new performances are waiting for them in the fall.

The upcoming season will open on September 12 with the play "Imaginary Sick." Silvio Purcarete, a famous Romanian director, is working on his production. In the meantime, the Vakhtangans are waiting for a trip to the art festival in the Italian city of Spoleto, where they will show Eugene Onegin, a tour in Athens and Beijing.
