Roman Viktyuk Theater opened theatrical marathon with the performance "Fedra"

MOSCOW. On the stage of the Moscow Youth Theater with the performance "Fedra", the premiere of the ending season of the Viktyuk Theater, the Theater Marathon began, representing the most interesting productions of the famous collective. For three weeks, starting on July 11, theater fans will be able to see performances, many of which have already become a legend.

The first theater marathon took place 16 years ago. It was conceived in order to show the audience the versatility of the work of Roman Viktyuk, a unique director who creates performances that are unique in style, mood and form. He refers to the works of authors belonging to different eras and directions.

Each new work of the director adds new colors to his work, showing the audience how unique the aesthetics of the performances created by Roman Viktyuk is, deservedly one of the most outstanding personalities in the world of theater. The performances provide an opportunity to trace the creative biography of the director for several decades.

Over the years since the first marathon, it has become a real theater holiday for spectators, who have the opportunity to once again see their favorite shows, get acquainted with the new works of the theater. During the theater marathon, theater fans can after performances communicate with their favorite artists. For the artists themselves, the marathon has long been a landmark event of the season, the brand of the theater.

This time, viewers will see 11 performances, among which will be the legendary “Handmaids”. So that performances, especially interesting to the audience, could be seen by everyone, they will be shown twice. In addition to “Handmaids”, they included “Fedra” and “Venetian”, the official premiere of which will take place next season. This is the first directorial work of Viktyuk Igor Nevedrov, a leading theater actor.
