The Cultural Project "History of Art:
With Your Own Hand" launched in Ukraine

KIEV. January 22, 2013 in Kiev, the first lesson was held as part of a new educational program from the Cultural Project "Art History: With one’s own hand" aimed at providing all people interested in the development of fine art with not only a dry, academic theory, but also truly practical skills!

The Cultural Project is a Ukrainian organization whose activities are aimed at creating educational programs in the field of visual art. The educational mission, within the framework of the Project, covered more than 30 art critics, as well as university professors, artists, photographers, and directors.

This time the scale and originality of the move is amazing. The planned course will consist of 15 very voluminous classes. Moreover, the volume will be achieved not due to dry facts, but through complete immersion in the material under study. The first lesson was devoted to Primitive Art - from those foundations that over the course of eras have "turned" into exquisite works exhibited in the world’s best museums.

The program participants will be offered to work in mixed media with their own hands and discover the talent of the artist. And to comprehend the History of Fine Arts as deep as possible. After all, nothing can replace your own experience - until you make a “rock painting” yourself, it is impossible to achieve its full understanding and deep, even intuitive feeling.

Classes under the project will be held for 3 months. In the classroom, participants will be able to master various techniques and learn how to work with tools such as pencils, charcoal, watercolor and oil paints, clay, tempera, etc.
