Tver artist Nikolai Dochkin celebrated his anniversary with an exhibition in the Tver CMC

TVER. Until June 16, the exhibition on Nikolay Dochkin, the famous Tver artist, will open in the Great Hall of the Tver IEC. With this solo exhibition Nikolai Viktorovich celebrates his 80th birthday. According to the works included in the exposition, one can trace the creative path of the artist with a length of almost six decades.

In total, the hall housed more than a hundred paintings, dated over the years. The oldest of the paintings dates back to 1964. All the creative searches of Nikolai Dochkin are based on the traditions of Russian landscape painting. Art historians note three periods in the artist’s work, characterized by a special approach to the selection of subjects for works and materials for their embodiment.

The artist himself agrees that a person changes over time, but this applies only to his external image. According to him, internally he remained the same. Judging by the works created by Nikolai Viktorovich, it is obvious that all his works are marked by a strong personal beginning.

At the opening of the exhibition was attended by Andrey Shevelev, head of the region. Presenting the artist with the Certificate of Honor of the Governor, he said, referring to the master, that his works embodied the highest love for the motherland. Looking at them, you feel how beautiful our land is. All the artist’s canvases were created by him in the name of this love.

In Tver, Nikolai Dochkin is known not only as a master of pictorial art, but also as a wonderful teacher. With a school to them. Venetsianova Nikolay Viktorovich collaborated for 34 years. He held consultations with graduates, participated in the diploma state commission. His work is marked by worthy awards, and his social activities are rated by the title of Honorary Citizen of the Tver Region.
