A virtual library has appeared at Sheremetyevo Airport

MOSCOW. As part of the Year of Literature in Russia, an interactive library was equipped at one of the most famous airports in Moscow. Now more than a hundred books of modern and classical literature will help pass the time of flight or waiting.

Especially for book lovers, the organizers of the interactive project “SVOya Library” opened 16 “virtual” reading rooms in different sections of Sheremetyevo. Now, for every passenger with a smartphone, 60 works of world classical literature and 48 electronic books of contemporary writers from Russia and other countries of the world are available. Stylized stands with images of library shelves are located in the “clean zone” of absolutely all terminals where passengers enter after passing through passport control. With the help of the QR code that is displayed on each book of the stand, anyone can read online or download the work they like to the memory of their mobile device absolutely free.

You can evaluate the new service, organized by the administration of the popular airport, now. According to preliminary data, the virtual library will remain in use for free until the end of this year. Whether it will be paid next year or will remain available to everyone, the administration has not yet decided.

The organizers of the literary and social project are sure that millions of passengers will take advantage of their unusual service. The interactive project “SVO library” is another unique and original way of popularizing Russian literature and reading among the inhabitants of Russia.
