ST. PETERSBURG. On August 8th, on the stage of Upasala Circus, in the framework of the unique international project Theater without Borders, Petersburg spectators will continue to get acquainted with the works of its participants. This time they will present a new performance - “Lullaby of the Wind”.
The main feature of the performances staged as a result of the project is that not only professional actors work on the stage, but also people with disabilities. After watching this performance, the audience once again gets the opportunity to see how unlimited human potential is.
It is clear that for the external ease of performing their roles, the "special" actors had to make incredible efforts. However, this gives the result even more significance, showing how important the project is, allowing special people to feel needed, able to perform on the same stage with professionals.
The history of the project began in 2007, when the Swiss association Guillari di Gulliver, in collaboration with the public organization “Perspectives” from Russia, presented the first performance “Walk”. The first work, worthily appreciated not only by the audience, but also by professionals, was followed by the performance “Time without words”, which was also highly appreciated. These performances in turn were able to see the St. Petersburg audience and European.
Lullaby of the Wind, a poetic performance embodied on stage by young people with severe disabilities, together with friends from Switzerland, will be shown in St. Petersburg twice - on August 8 and 10. And in the interval between them, on August 9, a master class will be held, where Swiss teachers on the stage movement will share their skills.
On the same day, an exhibition of artists of the Prospects Art Studio will open.
