Chita spectators saw in their theater the famous actors of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov

CHIT. In the Trans-Baikal capital on September 8, in the regional drama theater, the first meeting of the audience with the actors of the famous theater of the Moscow Art Theater Chekhov. Actors of the famous troupe first came to Chita with a two-day tour.

The Chita audience had the opportunity in the play based on the famous play written by Alexander Vampilov to see famous actors on the stage of their theater, many of whom they knew only from the works of artists in the cinema. The play “Last Summer in Chulimsk” made it possible to get acquainted with their theatrical works.

Shortly before the start of the performance, a meeting of Chita journalists with city guests took place. During the meeting, many questions were asked about theatrical art, about the theater itself. The conversation took place at ease, in the form of dialogue.

The actors talked about the reasons why not every of the repertoire performances of the Moscow Art Theater can be shown on tour. The fact is that the large stage of the theater has such modern stage equipment that it is not technically possible to play these performances on other stages.

For this reason, most often performances that go to the Moscow Art Theater on the Small Stage go on tour. The small stage of the theater in its hall can receive only 120 spectators, and on tours you often have to play on more reputable stages. Therefore, in each touring performance, the actors have to adapt to a new stage space.

In the repertoire of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov’s play “Last Summer in Chulimsk” appeared only a year ago, however, in a conversation with reporters, the performance was noted as one of the best theatrical productions.

Tickets for the performances of the capital’s theater were sold out long before their arrival. The most lucky theatergoers of Chita have already managed to see the play on Sunday.
