Auction house "SOVKOM" exhibits the original dolls from the cartoon about Crocodile Gena

December 11, 2012 at 19.00 auction house "SOVKOM" holds an evening auction number 133, dedicated to Russian and Soviet art of the twentieth century. At the auction will be put up 105 lots representing graphic works, paintings and unique examples of decorative art.

These are the last surviving authentic dolls from films about Cheburashka - the 1970s. The world’s only complete set of dolls of the time: Cheburashka, Crocodile Gena, Shapoklyak and rat Lariska. Dolls are unique pieces of decorative and applied Soviet and world art of the twentieth century and will become an adornment of any collection.

In addition, five paintings by Yuri Matushevsky will be presented at the auction, whose work influenced the formation of the Vladimir school of painting in the 1960s.
