"Vita brevis" - personal exhibition of the artist Danila Menshikov

NOVOSIBIRSK. The personal exhibition of Danila Menshikov, which opened at the exhibition center of fine arts, from the first day of its work has become a center of attraction for the cultural life of Novosibirsk. Its organizers estimated that more than 250 people gathered at the opening of the exhibition - so many people who still want to see the works presented by the artist at their personal exhibition have not yet been here. The exhibition will run until April 18th.

Although the exhibition was called "Vita brevis", the artist himself at the opening of the exhibition said that it can not be considered a debriefing of his work. To a greater extent the exposition of the exhibition corresponds to the word "retrospective". Although most of the works presented at the exhibition were written this year, the author also selected for display his best works performed over the past twenty years.

The entire second floor was taken to host the exhibition. Etchings, mostly made in the 90s and devoted to the theme “Creation of the World,” were placed in the back room. The exposition of the next hall consists of graphic works written by Danila Menshikov on paper on acrylic paints. It housed many new works dated 2013 year.

In the largest hall, a place was allocated for the artist’s works in the author’s technique and oil painting. The main hall of the center, starting right from the entrance, was also taken to large-scale oil paintings. Danila Menshikov presented practically all painting genres in which he works in the exposition of his personal exhibition.

Having been engaged in creative activities for more than 25 years, Danila Menshikov has a well-deserved popularity among connoisseurs of painting, his works are welcome participants at various exhibitions.
