Exhibition Hall of the Ministry of Agriculture presented an anniversary exhibition of paintings by V.I. Ivanov

MOSCOW. Opening on March 10 with the anniversary exhibition of Viktor Ivanovich Ivanov, the Ministry of Agriculture congratulated the People’s Artist of the USSR on the 90th anniversary. The exhibition works in the hall of the Association of Artists, located in the central part of the capital.

Since 2004, in Ryazan, near which Viktor Ivanovich has been living for many years, a gallery has been opened, named after the artist’s name and the Ryazan Territory, where the master holds annual exhibitions where he shows his works completed over the year. The exposition of the last exhibition, which presents works written during the summer of 2013, has now moved to the capital.

Art lovers have the opportunity to see new works of the national artist, each picture of which can be safely considered a world-class masterpiece. The main part of the exhibition is landscape painting, but genre paintings are also presented at the exhibition.

The work of Viktor Ivanov is surprisingly diverse. He works in various genres, but each of his works has its own artistic value. In the luggage of the artist there are household plots showing the life of the people surrounding the master.

Modern artists rarely turn to this genre, but Viktor Ivanovich, even in his youth, promised to depict on his canvases only that which resonates in his soul. Therefore, in many of the artist’s paintings, everyday worries and experiences of the villagers in their historical homeland, where he lives every summer, appear.

Household plots on the artist’s canvases are harmoniously supplemented by portrait and landscape painting, which creates a single picture representing pure and honest art, created not only by brush, but also by the soul of People’s Artist Viktor Ivanov.

The exhibition will be open on March 22nd.
